PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

Campus Leadership Mentoring for Change
This workshop is designed for campus leaders (principals, assistant principals, campus integration specialists, teacher leaders) who are essential in the technology integration process. Participants will receive guidance for mentoring and supporting teachers as they integrate technology into the classroom and curriculum. You will learn how to measure the impact and evaluate the results to better move teachers up the integration ladder. All participants will receive an integration evaluation tool and access to a follow-up webinar this fall as a supplement to support this process.

iTeach, iLearn: iPad in the Classroom
This hands-on workshop takes you beyond "cool apps" for the iPad to how to best use the mobile device in the classroom for authentic learning. The session will emphasize the use of a variety of resources that focus on the differentiation of learning, both process and product, for each student. Participants will work with ebooks (both use and creation), PDF documents on the iPad, powerful curricular apps, and audio and video resources from iTunes U. Note: This is not an introductory course. Participants should already be familiar with basic iPad functions before attending.

Creating Engaging and Productive Centers
In this interactive and lively workshop, participants will experience a time of planning, collaborating, and developing classroom centers that are engaging and productive. Gail Lovely will share a wealth of ideas and strategies to help ensure that your centers are not just techie but teaching. Come join us for fun and laughter as we focus on using centers to develop our students’ 21st century skills. Presented by Gail Lovely.
